Alberto Pistacchia has what might be called a straight-faced sense of enticement, and he is always convincing even when tackling the most bizarre subject matter. Unquestionably one of the finest actors to have graced "l'Opera da tre soldi", he is one of the backbones of the acting profession in Italy, and through his constant appearances on the stage, he is considered a major contributor to drama and comedy in that medium. Immediately recognizable, with his dark hair crowning a melodramatic expression, he is just as effective in a dry "witty Italian" figure, as well as in a "bully American" character. In almost ten years of acting, his quiet professionalism has been very much appreciated by the Italian people.
